To Our Veterinary Colleagues
in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area:

If you are like many small animal veterinarians, you understand the importance of behavioral education for your clients, but can't find the time away from your important medical practice to offer it.

Veterinary Behavior Options can help.

Dr. Derr has been a small animal practitioner for over 20 years. She understands the demands of veterinary practice. She also knows that many clients who could benefit from a behavior consultation are reluctant to leave your practice to go to a specialist. So why not call her to come to your practice to see your clients? Just as you arrange in-house consultations with a surgeon or radiologist, you can  have Dr. Derr at Veterinary Behavior Options bring state of the art behavior consultations to your clinic.

All that is needed is an exam room and one to two hours of time. The initial consultation involves a thorough behavioral history, followed by observation of client and pet. Dr. Derr performs an assessment of the pet's behavior and offers a complete treatment plan with appropriate follow-up. You will receive a written copy of the case report to keep in the patient's file. If any lab work is needed it is done by your clinic. If any drugs are prescribed it is done through your clinic.

"I know from experience that clients who seek out behavior therapy are delighted to have it offered at their regular vet clinic. It bonds them to the practice, and the work we do to solve the pet's problem keeps the pet in the home."-Dr.Derr
