Speaking Engagements
Dr. Derr will speak on "Surgical
Standards in Shelters" as part of the Forum on Feline Overpopulation presented by the Minnesota Conference and MVMA. The event will be held at the Kelly Inn in St. Cloud, MN on May 19, 2010.

The Rice County Humane Society sponsored Dr. Derr in Northfield, MN on Jan. 21, 2009 for an "Ask the Vet" question and answer session. The night was geared towards behavior problems in dogs and cats.

Dr. Derr presented a short communication at the annual joint meeting of the American Veterinary Society for Animal Behavior and the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists in July of 2007. Her paper "The Effect of a Behavioral Enrichment Program on Urinary Cortisol/Creatinine Ratios in Adult Cats in a Limited Admission Animal Shelter" was based on her original research project.
